Every Life Experiences Changes

Life can be dull and boring. It can easily become a routine, without focus and without goals.

Sometimes we desire to change our lives badly, and we have intentionally made some changes.

We visit places and people; we look for new and suitable environments and we build trusting relationships.

We browse the internet, trying to look for things of interests and enjoy our dream trips and wishes.

We repaint, renovate, and decorate our house, reposition and add more furniture and accessories, and do whatever possible and suitable to make our house a home.

Every life needs changes and adapt to changes.

Animals, insects, and plants adapt to changes; they survive and thrive in extreme environments.

So are we; we adapt to severe situations, though sometimes we migrate to a new and better environment.

Some of us enjoy facing a moment of defeat, failure, and humiliation. To them, it is a good experience to be able to identify and minimize our wrongs, and set our path straight to attain greater success in life. Success does not come without a defeat, and one loss does not make us a failure.

Life is forever filled with its deep and powerful personal experiences.

And the ability to endure and triumph over trials and temptations can and will bring greater joy and better fulfillment in life.

Of course, I am not saying that we must experience and bear defeats and failures all the time.

When opportunity and circumstance call, we must move and adapt to a new environment.

There are always struggles against the river of time.

But when there is a flood of change, we must swim to a new place and continue our journey.

Every life experiences changes.

It will be good if the changes are for the better, both for us and others.

Life is a passing moment in time.

We must not dwell so much on the past and be unduly worry about the future.

Life is a passing thing.

But every experience we encounter will somehow help shape us into who we will be in the future.

Isn’t it?

And That’s Life

We never get what we want and we never want what we get,

We never have what we like and we never like what we have,

And still we live and love,

And that's life.

*********

The best kind of people is the kind we can sit on a porch and swing with,

Never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation we've ever had.

And that's life.

*********

It's true that we don't know what we've got until it's gone.

But it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

And that's life.

*********

Giving someone all our love is never an assurance that they'll love us back,

Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart,

But if it doesn't, be content it grew in ours.

And that's life.

*********

It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone,

An hour to like someone,

And a day to love someone,

But it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

And that's life.

*********

Don't go for looks; they can deceive,

Don't go for wealth; even that can fade away,

Go for someone who makes us smile,

Because it takes only a smile to make the darkest day seems bright.

And that's life.

*********

May we all have

Enough happiness to make us sweet,

Enough trials to make us strong,

Enough sorrow to keep us human,

And enough hope to make us happy.

*********

Always put ourselves in others' shoes,

If we feel that it hurts us, it probably hurts the other person too.

And that's life.

*********

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything,

They just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

And that's life.

*********

Happiness lies

For those who cry,

For those who are hurt,

For those who have searched,

And for those who have tried,

Only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives.

And that's life.

*********

When we were born, we were crying,

And everyone around us was smiling,

Live our life so that when we die,

We're the one who is smiling,

And everyone around us is crying.

And that’s life.

FIFA World Cup Soccer 2010

The FIFA World Cup Soccer 2010 is on.

Millions of people around the world are anticipating how the Opening Ceremony will unfold in our eyes as the host South Africa has something for us.

The media is upbeat about it. There are wider and in-depth coverage on World Cup Football 2010 in the national newspapers, radio and TV. Then comes the advertisements with the slogans: “Every time we play, we always play the best”, “We play as a team”, “We want to make the country proud”, etc.

Everyone is excited. Some cannot sit still or stop talking. Some even boast about their dream teams. Some are getting ready to predict and to bet with money. Some are planning their schedule to watch their favorite matches or to stay through the nights.

Some family members are very worried about the gambling habits of their family members, fearing that they may borrow from loan sharks who go easy on giving loans.

For the past years, there were many sad incidents and accidents near the end of every World Cup; the media were full of suicide stories, bankruptcies, and family breakdowns.

I love the team spirit of football. I also love the individual skills. And I am looking forward to FIFA World Cup 2010.

But no betting, and no staying through the night; a delayed telecast is good enough for me.

May the best team win.

Welcome to FIFA World Cup Soccer 2010.

The Little Boy

A little boy was busy pedaling his bicycle.

It was a new bicycle that his grandfather had brought for him.

The old one was spoiled and thrown into the dustbin.

*******

The little boy shrieked and cried for attention.

The grandparents came over to help; more advices, coaching, and encouragement.

The little boy was comforted and started to laugh away happily.

******

The little boy didn’t know his parents were in the process of separation and divorce.

His father was unhappy with the mother’s constant nagging, lavish spending, and not doing most of the house chores.

His mother was unhappy with the father’s preoccupation with his work and outside activities, and his recent ex-marital affair with a girl from neighboring country.

*******

His mother had brought him and his younger sister home to her parents’ house.

Then, after a week or two, his father would come, apologized to his mother, and brought them back.

This had happened many times.

But the quarrels were getting fiercer; more throwing of things; more shouting and crying, bringing more fear and terror to the children.

*******

Parents from both parties tried to help but failed.

They insisted on keeping the family together.

The mother demanded more conditions; the father refused to comply.

And the rift in the relationship dragged on until today.

******

The young boy screams and cries, again.

His younger sister is probably crying too.

More sad stories if their parents can’t agree on the relationship.

It is just not fair.

But what is fair?
