The Time Is Near!

The Antichrist is here, in and out of the Church.

The Church is profaned and defiled.

Christians are persecuted and imprisoned.

It is worse during the Great Tribulation.

But for the sake of God's people, those days are shortened.

********

False christs and false prophets had risen!

They have shown great signs and wonders to deceive many.

And if possible, even the chosen people of God.

And more of them will be coming, with more convincing stories.

********

But as to the day and hour of Christ's coming, no one knows!

Not even the angels of heaven.

But only God the Father.

********

But we know the nearness of Christ's coming.

We are to get ready.

********

The sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven.

All the tribes of the earth will mourn.

They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

********

And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet.

They will gather together His people.

********

The time is near.

It is at the doors.

The Wedding Feast

The Gospel is an invitation to salvation through Christ.

It is like an invitation from a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son.

Many were invited but many of them refused to come.

The invitation was made more explicit, comprehensive, and intensive.

But many continued to make light of it and went their ways.

Some even got angry, seized the servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them.

*******

The king was furious.

He sent out his armies, destroyed the murderers, and burned up their city.

********

Many were invited to the kingdom to heaven.

But many refused to come.

They ignored the Good News and made fun of it.

They persecuted the Church.

*******

The Almighty God would be angry.

He would bring about His Judgment Day,

He would punish every single one of them,

And bring the world to the end.

********

The wedding is ready.

But many of those who were invited were not worthy.

********

The invitation was then extended to everyone who would come.

There was no discrimination; everyone was invited.

********

Everyone is invited to the kingdom of heaven.

So let us come!

*******

There was a man who didn't put on a wedding garment.

He came but he wasn't not ready for the wedding.

*******

So it is with us.

We must get ready for the kingdom of heaven.

*******

The salvation is offered to everyone who would come.

But many refuse to come.

Some make light of the gospel.

Many come.

But they are those who come unprepared.

*******

It is a wedding feast for the Son of God.

Would you come?

Would you come unprepared?

*******

For many are called, but few are chosen.

Are you one of the chosen ones?

*******

Come.

Love Is Forever

Marriage is forever; it is a covenant that is meant to last forever.

It is a long-term commitment with another person, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do them part.

Therefore, it is not lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason.

God had made men male and female in the beginning, and said, "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined together to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh."

So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.

Marriage is a holy matrimony under God between a man and a woman.

In the past, Moses, because of the hardness of hearts, had permitted the people to divorce their wives.

But from the beginning it was not so.

Divorce has very bad consequences.

Whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery.

And whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery.

God has never permitted divorce.

It is important to consider carefully if we are to get married.

It is also important to reconsider carefully if we are to divorce.

In the beginning it was not so; God did not permit divorce for any cause whatsoever.

Love is forever.

It is a long term commitment with another person.

For better or worse...

For richer or poorer...

In sickness and in health...

Until death do them part.

Amen.

What Is Mine Is Mine

Which one do you hold?

1. What is yours is yours and what is mine is mine.

2. What is yours is yours and what is mine is also yours.

3. What is mine is mine and what is yours is also mine.

I believe the third option holds true if we are selfish and greedy. This is especially true when we are childish and naive. We insist on keeping everything to ourselves, and we want everything out there to be ours too.

I have seen many children and young people to be like that, and I wonder if there are many older people who would continue to do the same. They would argue until the other person(s) gives in. It is very important that they win.

I was like that when I was young. What is mine is mine, and what is yours is also mine. Life is a chasing after everything there is to own and more. There is no end to chasing after all we want, and we would want to compete and beat all other competitors, regardless of whether they are our family, relatives or friends.

I believe as we become mature and more tolerant, we would slowly shift to the first option. Now we are still individualistic, but we can slowly put up with the people around us. Now what is mine is mine, and what is yours is yours.

We still go after all the things we want. We are still very competitive. But now we are more ready to admit and accept defeats and failures. We finally realize that we are only talented in certain fields, and winning isn't everything in life. We need love and care, and we need the people around us.

We talk about cooperation and team work. We talk about mutual help and benefits. It is kind of nice when we can work together for a better and brighter future.

Of course, there would still be times when we insist on having our own way. Old habits die hard, isn't it?

But then, if we are married or live together with our family, our life may change yet again. Now we learn to be more sensitive to other people's needs. We are more loving, forgiving and humble; we can readily accept people and give encouragements, acknowledgments and appreciations; and we would want to work and do things together. Now we slowly learn to eliminate our self ego and give way to more self-be. Now the second option may dominate: What is yours is yours, and what is mine may also be yours.

As we grow and mature, we may realize that earning and owning the whole world isn't everything that is to live. We need other people in our lives. We need our family, relatives, friends, colleagues, neighbors, etc. And we must find way and find time to communicate and share and learn from one another.

It is not easy to be humble; some of us continue to be very proud until today. But we will ultimately, when our age, and our infirmities and weaknesses are slowly chasing and overtaking us.

What the Lord God has given us, it is always for the good of everyone around us. It would be good if we can consider other people when we make our decisions. Life is not so much about self-pleasing and self-gratification. It is more than that when we are living together.

Now what is mine is ours, and what is yours is also ours.

How nice it would be if we can more willingly share everything we have with others.

A Giddy Head

I felt giddy when I woke up this morning.

It might be the wine I took...

Or was it the traveling on a hot day?

It was the 2nd day of Gawai, a harvest festival celebrated in Sarawak in the beginning of the month of June.

Yesterday was a day for visiting many relatives and friends.

I couldn't remember just how many houses I had visited. But it was really fun, meeting with long time friends and getting to know their families well.

I enjoy festivals and celebrations...

I enjoy tasting different types of food from different races.

I enjoy their rice wine too.

I enjoy knowing their customs and traditions.

I enjoy the different ways they decorate and furnish the living room.

I love rooms that looks spacious and with very simple design.

Of course, in every house I visited, I was very keen on the big screen TV.

I enjoy barbecues, especially where there are always some wine or beer to go round.

I don't talk much, but I love listening to stories and folk tales.

And my groups of friends are good in telling jokes and funny stories, and I always have a big laugh.

It was nice to hear from friends and relatives that their children are doing well in school, or are now furthering their studies in colleges and universities, both locally and abroad.

Time passes so fast; now that the children have all grown up.

Th traveling was hectic too, since it was a terrible hot day.

There were many vehicles on the road, and many were driving a bit too fast and a few were rather careless and reckless.

I kept my distance, but I still felt the pressure from sleepy eyes, especially when I was on the highway.

Today is going to be a day of rest.

Everyone in the family is now busy with their activities at home.

It is good to know that the children are having their own activities to do.

Tomorrow would be another busy day.

A back house relative is going to have a wedding celebration for his grand daughter.

My wife would help him in the preparation of food.

Villagers are invited; it is going to be a huge gathering.

There would be more food, more veggies and more animals to be slaughtered.

I love festivals and celebrations, many of them, and especially when in the company of friends and relatives.

But the cleaning up is terrible...

So also is the giddy head...

But it is nice to have a break like this some times...

Life can be quite bored.

Oh! my giddy head still hurts...

A warm shower would be nice...

And a nice cup of hot chocolate drink. LOL
